I'm torn trying to decide if I'm proud that we Irish are such a diligent lot or if actually we're a crazy bunch of masochists flogging ourselves to death in places where we're just a number.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word

Have to admit, was a little shocked today.

I got an apology from someone after they'd been less than pleasant.  Maybe it's a sad reflection on today or people or the people specifically around me but I definitely wasn't expecting one.  It actually wiped the downer from yesterday . Such a powerful little word. 

So if you've done something on someone take a big deep strong breath and let it out. With the "sorry" sound attached. And mean it.  Just a little bit of healing...can't do any harm.

Water, water everywhere...

All the things that they have done to us and ours, and it seems like charging us higher than the EU average for crummy, limey, bog addled water is the straw that's tickling the camel's back.  This one could have some real power behind if everyone says focussed...about time too.

It never went away...

It's still here.  I checked.  We're just all pretending it isn't by shopping and going on holidays and taking "Isn't my life awesome" selfies. Which is mostly fine.  Except we're back to inaction, inertia and individualism. Fairies unite...

Holiday! Celebrate!

This fairy is having a well earned holiday! I didn't think I'd be getting one of those this annus horribilus!

Sometimes has good news!

It's official people.

I'm am once more pink, sparkly and fluffy. I have a job. No more free government money for me, I'm back paying my dues to support all the remaining wingless fairies out there.

Happy days indeed.

(I'm sure I'll be moaning about it in about a month or so when the shine wears off)
